Hygiene is a top priority in food processing. In this respect, food safety is a subject that is attracting particular media attention today, causing consumer anxiety, and the authorities have clearly identified this as a priority. According to European legislation, food safety must be guaranteed by means of prevention, and to this end the hygienic design of food equipment is compulsory under European Community law. If the necessary precautions are not taken at the design stage, particular bacteriological contamination may occur within the air handling units, which can then be spread through the ducts to the various rooms, with consequent damage to human health or directly to the products being processed. Expensive cleaning activities are therefore necessary inside the aeration systems, which also slow down the production process. These maintenance and cleaning costs quickly exceed the investment cost of the air handling unit. In order to avoid all of this, in full compliance with the guidelines on hygienic design, the air handling units of the AIRCLEAN series have been developed.

STEEL CLEAN

AIR HANDLING UNIT FOR FOOD SECTOR

STEEL CLEAN offers the most complete solution for rapid and effective plant chamber and component cleaning.

The structure of each treatment chamber is made from AISI 304 stainless steel with rounded borders and a steeply inclined draining bottom in AISI 304 or AISI 316. The treatment chamber is entirely tg welded and pickled using a low current welding process to protect joint parts and ensure the cleanliness of welded parts.

No thermal bridges (internal chambers are entirely insulated from the external structure).

Possibility of adopting various filtering systems of varying efficiency classes fitted onto AISI 304 stainless steel structures.

Plug fans are treated with epoxy paint.

These plants can be fitted with various types of heat exchange batteries (water, direct expansion, steam) and built in different materials (steel, copper, aluminium, etc.) in tubes and slits.

The maintainability of components is guaranteed by easy access via generously sized inspection doors.

AIR CLEAN

AIR HANDLING UNIT FOR FOOD SECTOR

The AIR CLEAN were conceived in response to air treatment requirements for food ageing processes, hence the machine's vertical design, in AISI 304 stainless steel.

It consists of extremely thick, double thermally broken profiles fitted onto the structure profile and panel. These sanitizable air treatment plants with cleaning fluid discharge feature a draining tank in AISI 304 or AISI 316 steel fitted in the machine's base.

The machine's internal edges are rounded and all thermodynamic components are easily extractable. The machine is supported by an extremely thick stainless steel base.

PRO CLEAN

AIR HANDLING UNIT FOR FOOD SECTOR

The PRO CLEAN is characterised by a single-block structure in fibreglass sandwich panels, formed by the impregnation of polyester resins and vacuum pressing techniques.

The edges of the internal chambers are rounded and the bottom is inclined, designed to discharge large volumes of cleaning fluid. Generously sized doors enable the cleaning and maintenance of thermodynamic components and are watertight thanks to the use of seals along the entire perimeter. Joints and handles are in AISI 304 stainless steel.
